When Fear Itself debuted in 2008, it featured four spectacular attractions. Cuckoo's Nest, Sinister Circus, Bloody Bayou Swamp and 13th Hour 4D A–Maze–Ment scared and amazed guests from all walks of life. In its second season, Fear Itself at Legend Park is adding another amazing attractions, Rock Monkey Caves. With five fascinating and terrifying attractions in just their second year of operation, Fear Itself is quickly growing into one of the largest scream parks in the country!

Each attraction at Fear Itself delivers an entertainment experience that is completely unique. With diverse themes and settings, the attractions at Fear Itself stand apart and offer various thrills and chills. 13th Hour 4D A–Maze–Ment indulges your senses with 3–D paintings, music and dancing. Here is a just a brief description of what you can expect.

As you wander the Bloody Bayou Swamp, don't venture too far from the main trail – you never know what you might encounter just off the beaten path. The swamp is teaming with all kinds of horrifying creatures. Don't be scared of the inbreds walking around... honestly, they are the least of your worries! On the other hand, be terrified of the werewolves and zombies. They will kill you without thinking twice. The inbreds are human, after all, so they will at least show a little remorse for taking your life. Always heed the words of the storyteller, Ole Jeddahdia. His stories may be the key to your survival on this tour. As you attempt to escape the Bloody Bayou Swamp, avoid the Voodoo Queen at all costs. Any spell she may cast on you will not be good for your health or well–being. It may take a miracle for you to survive your journey through Bloody Bayou Swamp... your survival instincts will be tested at every turn. As you make your way through the snake and gator infested swamp, no matter what you do, no matter how thirsty you are... don't drink the water!

If you're crazy enough, take a tour of the world's "most insane" asylum. Cuckoo's Nest is an unbelievable behind–the–scenes tour of the world–famous "Nest." Follow the patient in the pink bunny slippers, Jimmy, as he leads you through the eerie facility... he "wiw show you." Jimmy has been at Cuckoo's Nest for a long time and has seen unmentionable atrocities. Your advantage is that Jimmy knows the sanitarium like the back of his hand. You have to assume that even he doesn't want to go to the most horrific areas of the "Nest," so your tour should be somewhat safe... a relative statement when you're wandering an insane asylum. If you happen to meet Nurse Hatchet, be warned – she's not the kind–hearted, caring nurse she would have you believe! Many a patient has suffered unconscionable abuses (electro–shock therapy, rudimentary dental procedures, even lobotomies) under her watchful eye. With Nurse Hatchet in charge of Cuckoo's Nest, you gotta be crazy to visit!

There are different reactions to any circus: some people think of goofy clowns having a good time and entertaining their audience; other people think of creepy clowns that are up to something – probably something no good! Welcome to Sinister Circus, where things are not as they seem! Sinister Circus features over 100 clowns (more clowns than any walk–through attraction of it's kind... anywhere!), "Double Trouble," the longest spinning tunnel in the world, mirror mazes, crazy walks, 3D mazes... pretty much anything and everything that would make you hate the circus! Try to enjoy the Fun House, then try to survive the Clown House and Clown Warehouse. Sinister Circus is the most amazing circus adventure you will ever take... just remember their motto – "The Fun Stops Here!"

Upon entering 13th Hour 4D A–Maze–Ment, your senses will be overwhelmed with incredible artwork and hypnotic music. This is a Vegas–like attraction, full of larger than life 3D paintings, incredible lighting, sound effects and music. All of this is supported by fabulous entertainers and musicians, all of which add to the magnificent assault on your senses. Soak up the sounds of the 13th Hour band as you stare in amazement at the spectacular 3D paintings adorning the walls. Watch as the sensual dancer's body comes to life with the 3D body paint... just don't get caught staring! Allow yourself to become immersed in 13th Hour 4D A–Maze–Ment as it takes you into amazing depths of unreality.

New to Fear Itself at Legend Park for 2009 is the Rock Monkey Caves attraction. The result of cross breeding gone horrifically wrong, the rock monkey is the fastest and fiercest species of monkey ever encountered on the face of the earth. It seems that their skeleton has mutated into a rock–like substance, making them nearly invulnerable to any attack. A crew of scientists delved into the caves to study this mysterious breed, only to disappear without a trace! Little is known about the caves or their inhabitants because there are no survivors to tell the tales! What little is known is merely the result of legend. It is said that the rock monkey moves so fast, all the human eye can detect is a blur... and by the time you do see it, it's too late. The rock monkey is said to be a ferocious killer, but very inefficient. While they may move quickly, it is said that they kill very slowly! Legend also says that if you are lucky enough to not be killed by the rock monkeys, you may have to deal with the mythical rock monster, which originally spawned these vicious creatures. If you dare to explore the Rock Monkey Caves remember, run fast... or die slow!
